Things are slowly moving along here. Many of the real estate photos have been taken & the agent even hired a drone photographer for overhead videos. He got some great aspects of the mountains up here. The beautiful fall colors put the icing on the cake. I am aware of some unusual views because I live here & the drone photographer was kind enough to follow my ‘eye’ and these views are gorgeous! We had a few laughs as well & he answered my many questions about being a drone pilot. Nice guy.

I am proud to say I started putting extras away in my storage unit – finally. I’ve had the unit for months & it has remained empty. It feels good to lighten the rooms in the house. I’m sad because I haven’t been able to paint at all. I’m going to take my easel down & use the porch as a sitting room to help sell the house.

I still have to move a lot of things out of the ‘dark’ basement. This causes me great consternation. I DO NOT LIKE THE BASEMENT. It’s just another of my morbid fears. Believe it or not, I can overcome these by taking the time to cover up, open doors, let some light in, take a good – look – around (no spiders??). Fingers crossed I get that done because we planned an OPEN HOUSE for next week! I did that so I would have to MEET a timeline. Do you do that?? Or are you simply disciplined enough to follow a loose plan? I am not.

I completed one bear of chair and I’m working on the second one. I’ll not take any work after this. I will concentrate on House Projects. Would you like to know some of them? I’ll list them for you:

1)      Paint (decorative) the bathroom floor

2)      Cut & install new window frames in my bedroom

3)      Add new siding to the front porch

4)      Power wash the front porch FIRST (before number three)

5)      Cut out the grout line around the downstairs tub & regrout

6)      Hire a plumber (good luck with that) to hook up tub to plumbing

7)      Redo the bathroom ceiling with pretty decorative tiles

8)      Clean & glue up the bathroom fan in downstairs bathroom

These are not in any particular order. But, I will attempt to get a plumber out here before I finish the floor (or not, if the open house comes first). But, I will clean out the basement & bring those boxes to storage FIRST so that I can power  wash the porch & then store the power washer in the basement. I’m just not sure of the order. Reminder: I work alone so once I wear out my arthritic body the Day is Done!

I hope & pray the house sells quickly so I’m not moving in the snow. I don’t look forward to dragging a moving truck down the mountain in the wintry weather. Driving can be very challenging here. Fingers & toes crossed and many prayers up for success (if the Lord is willing).
